About Season 3: The Canberra Ultimate Premier League is returning for it's third season. Will the Inner North Radicals be able to hold onto the trophy again, or will another team be able to prevent the three-peat? ANU, Tuggeranong, Gungahlin Glory and the Southside Vortex will be looking to be more consistent this season without the handful of mistakes that took their finals chances away last year. And is there redemption on the horizon for UC/Belconnen Blizzard who struggled in the final to maintain the form they had shown all season?
Before You Register - Linking To Your Club: The Premier League is unusual for Ultimate in that players are allocated to Club based on geography (or their university, if they're a student) - as opposed to teams being a circle of friends. So when registering make sure your address is current so that you can be placed in the correct district. If there is any reason for you to play on a different team please note your reasoning during registration - we will endeavour to recognise strong connections (eg 'while I now live in Belconnen, my family and I have lived in Tuggernanong for decades'). Currently enrolled ANU and UC students please let us know if you have a preference for playing for your Uni or district.
Before You Register - Level of Commitment: The Premier League is also unusual for Clubs, therefore having a very long roster of players available for but not necessarily making the 14 player starting list for a particular game. This helps over a season of Winter Sundays where players may be absent or unavailable and rules encourage using different players. So be aware when you register and paying your $5 for the season you are expressing your interest in being selected when you are available - there is no commitment from you to be available for any and all games, nor a commitment from us that you will play one or a dozen games (although we'll do our best to get you on the field at least once).
