Dear Clubs, UFO is looking to organise a one day beginners tournament for all players who started playing Ultimate Frisbee during the Corona period (September 2019-now). We would like to know from other clubs if they are willing to commit to such a tournament. The tournament will be held on the 31st October at Sporthal Nieuw Welgelegen in Utrecht (Grebbeberglaan 13 3527 VX). We have enough space to host 8 teams from 10am-6pm. There will be lots of opportunties to play 5v5 indoor against other teams from across the Netherlands! Each beginner team is allowed two experienced players on their team. The experienced players must wear a hat whilst playing to distinguish themselves from the beginners. The only additional rule to normal indoor is that the experienced player CANNOT SCORE! The tournament will be a loose mixed tournament (minimum 1 female on the line). If two teams do have enough women then we highly encourage a proper mixed game (2/3 women on the line) We expect the team fee to cost between 70-90 euros (to be confirmed). Format will also be confirmed at a later date. Payment will be requested at some point in October. If we do not get enough sign ups by the 30th September then the tournament will be cancelled.
