The Jordan Flying Disc Federation (JFDF) and members of its oldest team, the Bedouin Falcons, are proud to announce that it will be organizing the "Jordan Ultimate Cup" on May 12 and May 13, 2023. This tournament is the first of its kind in the region, as it is providing new competitive divisions for women's and men's (open) club teams. This event is a significant development for the sport in the region, as it will provide more opportunities for players to compete in different divisions, especially for female players. This tournament will support the JFDF and the MENA Ultimate Federation's efforts to promote gender equality in sports and provide equal opportunities for all players. The tournament will also provide an opportunity for players from all over the world to visit Jordan and see its many unique cultural, geographical, and historical landmarks during May's wonderful weather. Based upon feedback from the majority of women's teams in the MENA region, the format for the women's tournament will be 5 vs 5. This will help ensure greater inclusion of playing communities, especially women's teams, resulting in a fun and successful tournament. KEY INFORMATION: Divisions: Men & Women Cost: 50 USD/35JD per player (no team fee) Timeline: -Team Registration Start: 21 March -Team Registration Deadline: 15 April -Team Roster Deadline: 25 April (changes can be made up to 5 May) - Free Agent (pickup player) Registration Deadline: 10 May ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: -Team registration, roster lists, and free agent (pickup player) registration will be coordinated on Ultimate Central (https://ultimatecentral.com/ar_ae/e/jordan-ultimate-cup). - Recommended hotels will be provided upon request. We are working on a 5-star option for $40/night through tournament sponsors. -Ground transportation will be made possible through ride-sharing apps (Uber, Careem), and bus shuttle services for those who request. -There will be a tournament party on Friday evening, 12 May. Details will be shared once finalized. -Lunches and drinking water will be provided on both days of the event. -Players will have full access to toilets (men and women in different buildings) at the venue. Please expect to shower in your hotel.
