Introduction

Join Bay Area Disc this summer to play one of the fastest growing and most exciting sports in the world: Ultimate Frisbee! It's a sport that combines the best elements of other sports like basketball and soccer, but doesn't require referees—even at the highest levels of competition!

Ultimate isn't just another typical sport, as it places equal focus on the three pillars of fostering character, community, and competition. It provides a healthy and positive physical and social outlet for all. With our 12 years of experience running Summer Camps, you can be sure that your child will learn the fundamental skills and dynamics of the sport in a safe, active, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE CAMPS LIKE?

Our camps focus on developing physical and social-emotional skills through a combination of personalized one-on-one instruction, group drill stations, and supervised scrimmages. Campers will also experience a fun-filled week of team-building exercises, as well as camp and spirit games. We're driven to provide campers with a top-notch summer camp experience, while focusing a lot of our activities around the sport we love: Ultimate!

Our Counselors are all extremely experienced players, coaches, and leaders within our Ultimate community and have a wealth of experience working directly with children. All counselors are trained and undergo background checks. The counselor to camper ratio is 1:10. Bay Area Disc's Youth Programs Manager will supervise all camps.

WHAT IF I PLACE MY CHILD IN THE WRONG CAMP LEVEL?

Our trained counselors work with campers and parents to determine the most appropriate level for them (which is why we conduct a skills assessment our first day of camp). We do allow campers to switch sessions, but only when we feel it is necessary for the benefit of the camper, and with the approval of both the parent and counselors. Please encourage your child to speak to our counselors directly and let them know what they want to work on during our camp week together!

DO YOU OFFER EXTENDED HOURS/AFTER CAMP CARE?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer extended hours or after camp care at this time. Campers must be picked up at 3:00pm when camp ends.

CAN I DROP OFF MY CHILD LATE/PICK THEM UP BEFORE CAMP ENDS?
Yes, you are welcome to drop off your child late or pick them up before camp ends (example: for a doctor's appointment). Just let the camp staff know your plans as we do attendance each morning before camp starts.

WHAT SNACKS DO YOU PROVIDE?
We offer a variety of Clif Bar Organic Z Bar snacks for campers each day. Please note that these snacks "contain soy and may contain peanuts, tree nuts, milk, and wheat." If your child has a food allergy, please let us know and we make sure to accommodate their needs during our camp week.

WHAT IF MY CHILD CAN ONLY ATTEND 2 DAYS OF CAMP?

We do offer day rates for campers unable to join us for the full week. Please email our Admin prior to registering and we will help you.

HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?
If you have never created an account through our new website, please watch our Instruction Video HERE to help you register your child for this program. If you are having any difficulties registering on our website, please do not hesitate to email Youth Programs Manager  and she will be able to assist you as soon as possible.
